I’ll be waiting, waiting for you, some old day And when I hear, the church bell ringing Early on, a Sunday morn I’ll be waiting, waiting for you, some old day Oh dear lord, bury me deep With my pistol, in my hand Beneath the cray, I lie in my grave, some old day And when you stand, at the foot of my grave Just pray, for my poor soul I’ll be waiting, waiting for you, some old day Oh dear babe, don’t you cry
Cause if I could come back, I just may haunt you So take your time, I’ll be waiting, some old day And when that train, leaves the station With that blue light, on behind I’ll be waiting, waiting for you, some old day.

about

Troy Wilson and Aaron Gillett are a Melbourne acoustic blues duo specialising in acoustic roots and blues music with resonator guitars and harmonica.

Troy Wilson and Aaron Gillett have been playing together since January 2014. After a break in 2018 their paths crossed again in late November of 2020 and by May they had performed over 25 shows throughout Victoria before the Melbourne lockdowns kicked in again.

In late January on Australia Day of 2021, they recorded their first album together called “Dog House Blues” with 5 original songs and 7 acoustic blues covers. The title song Dog House Blues was written in lockdown by Troy Wilson with a blues twist from a hounds perspective of being in the doghouse. The album title art is based on Aaron Gillett turning up to the first 2020 gig with two broken arms after being tripped up going down the back steps by his dog “Muddy Waters” named after the Chicago blues singer.

Troy Wilson - vocals, resonator guitars, stomp box
Aaron Gillett - diatonic, chromatic & bass harmonica
